value. shape. relationship.

I have spent decades looking at the human body, finding the light in the dark on each surface. Every figure I paint or draw shows who that person was in that exact moment—that they were interesting and worthy of being recorded.

My work spans various media, including charcoal, oil paint, watercolor, and acrylic. Yet no matter the medium, I am always wrestling with the same question: What is hidden in the shadow, and what can I bring into the light?

I want each person, portrait, or subject to show that it was truly seen. My hope is for these pieces to exist beyond the moment of their creation, allowing others to observe them through my particular lens far into the future.
